    Small business HR can be challenging. If you do have a dedicated resource on staff, often that employee has many other duties and may not have the expertise needed to handle complex issues that come up. When HR starts to encroach on your time as a busy business owner, you may be ready to call for help! This session will highlight many of the common HR challenges that small business owners encounter and provide ideas for solving them.

    Kelly Marinelli, J.D., SHRM-SCP, SPHR is the founder of and Principal People Strategy Consultant for Solve HR, Inc. in Boulder, Colorado. For over 20 years, Kelly has been a successful attorney, business leader and strategic HR professional, specializing in aligning HR with business strategy, California and U.S. federal contractor legal compliance, complex disability and absence cases and finding the intersection of legal requirements and business success.  She has been licensed to practice law in Colorado since 1995, and is the author of Driving Great Hires: Using Authentic Employer Branding to Find Your Best Hire, published by peoplestrategy.io on January 4, 2018.

     

    Reagan Freed, SHRM-SCP is an HR consultant with 18 years of experience developing people strategies that support organizational goals and protect the company’s best interest while creating a great place to work.
