    Jessica Valand is the Director of Workforce Development for the 10-county northwest corner of Colorado, with the State's Department of Labor. She oversees the area's 10 workforce centers and staff, and works in dozens of rural and resort communities to promote quality jobs and economic opportunity. Jessica has been with the State for 10 years, having worked in a variety of capacities related to economic and workforce development. She holds a graduate degree in economic development from the University of Denver, and is a returned Peace Corps Volunteer. Jessica makes her home in Steamboat Springs with her husband and two young children.
