Summary:  Diving into DEI is an Eagle County panel series around Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. Each session will revolve around a different topic such as (public health, our public schools, wellness, leadership development, etc.) and will allow for the panel members to tell their personal stories of how they have been affected by inequity, data and observations they have found in their professional work regarding how our community is affected by inequity and what we can do as a community to improve.

Session 7, April 12th: Register HERE!*

Join us for an interactive professional development opportunity to learn about Language Justice. During this training Community Language Cooperative will walk us through:

    • Connecting Our Stories
    • The History of Language Oppression
    • What is Language Justice

Language justice when it comes to racial justice aims to remove the language barrier and provide full acceptance and recognition of the “whole self” for people of color, allowing for full and unapologetic leadership. It other words, language justice is about giving everyone the opportunity to participate in the language of her/his heart.

    About Community Language Cooperative

The Community Language Cooperative (CLC) provides interpretation services, focus groups, and inclusivity/diversity training to make community, academic, and governmental events more accessible for all. We help remove barriers and broaden opportunities for participation and community engagement by non-English speakers, and train organizations on implementation of inclusivity practices.
