Join Jocelyn Henkins, LPC for this 1-hour workshop to learn about compassion fatigue and how the importance of caring for yourself and others. Compassion fatigue is stress resulting from helping or wanting to help people who are experiencing trauma or suffering. This last year and longer has created a tremendous amount of trauma and suffering for so many and no doubt many of us are feeling symptoms of compassion fatigue. It is important that we recognize the symptoms and seek to take care of ourselves.
Jocelyn Jenkins Bio
Jocelyn has spent over a decade as a Licensed Psychotherapist, Certified Yoga Therapist and International Life Coach. She is founder of Vail Valley Counseling, which offers convenient online counseling services to adults and teens in Colorado. Her work is influenced by her extensive study in yoga, meditation, Eastern Philosophies and body-centered therapies. She believes body awareness and partnering with the body in therapy is the gateway to rapid and lasting change. She empowers her clients by teaching them tools to understand and regulate their own nervous systems. This allows for optimum stress management, an ability to shift our mindset and cultivate a more balanced mood. Her work focuses on helping clients develop greater self-compassion, tools to befriend pervasive thought patterns and daily practices that cultivate lasting fulfillment and joy.
