Program Description:
Public and Private Exchanges, What will they mean to Colorado employers?
This presentation will focus primarily on the Colorado Public Exchange, now known as Connect For Health Colorado; and its small employer group facility, called the SHOP. Jim Sugden, the SHOP Exchange Manager will present the structure, and how it will affect the small group organizations (less than 50 employees). Jim will also provide some history and information on how the Colorado Exchange was formed, and its goal and objectives in 2014.
In addition to the Colorado Exchange, Dennis Miceli, a benefits consultant with The Wright Group, will present and discuss some of the recent developments of private exchanges for larger group employers. He will present their concept, some of the differences that have evolved in the last few months, and how it might factor into your renewal strategies in 2014. He will incorporate some of the rules facing large employers including the Pay –or-Play mandate.
